Party with a PURPOSE

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In today’s society, we are competing with BET, MTV, VH1, Dancing Dolls and even Honey Boo Boo! Children are drawn to this type of entertainment. My philosophy is, if you can’t beat ‘em then we MUST join ‘em… but do it with a purpose. There is nothing more fulfilling than a hyped lesson that includes songs, dancing, role-play, rhymes, and movement. Research shows more than 50% of children retain more information by the integration of movement and music with the academic subjects taught in the classroom. As an ESOL, Gifted, and Golden Apple Teacher, it is imperative that I continually find new and inventive ways to make learning fun and comprehensible. My goals are to have educators maximize and manage their students through music, movement, and motivation! From the time you enter my classroom to the time you leave; you will definitely know how to party with an instructive PURPOSE!
